The Explorer Sport’s base 3.5L V6 model offers an ideal 290 HP, while the 2.3L 4 cylinder EcoBoost engine, with its 280 HP, was easy on the gas mileage. However, the third engine option, a 3.5L Twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 with a whopping 365 HP, impressed reviewers eager for outdoor exploration.
In addition, each of the three Explorer packages include an incredible “Tow†button on the dash, which converts the transmission to automatic for ideal towing torque when hauling a load.
